A gargantuan task!

I have been taking a little time away from this blog page in the past year or so as I have begun to gear up for the iron man of my writing career, something I've wanted to do for a long time and now have the ability to commence. I am writing a complete history of the 20th Century, I want to try to shoe horn it into about a million words, or 100 ebooks of about 10,000 words per chapter, but I suspect it might run over. You can see the first few products of my labours here. Anyway dear readers, here is how you can help; I definitely don't want to turn this massive life mission into the same old prosaic stuff (you know WWI, Roaring 20s, Depression, Hitler, Cold War, Vietnam, End of Communism, 9/11 and that's all folks) I think that would be a disingenuous and dishonest account, I am after comprehensiveness, depth, I want to include the cultural history of the century, I want to give Indonesians, Persians, Malawians, Chileans and Armenians as much of a voice as I give JM Keynes, General MacArthur or Leonid Bresznev, this has to be something more! It has to be greater than me, greater than all of us, a chronicle that is not constrained by size, something that Hobsbawm or Taylor would put into print if they had the infinate canvas presented to us by ebooks.

Sorry, I am getting ahead of myself, and freely accept that I am not even half the scholar of the two aforementioned....

Anyway, you might like the following:

Third Reich in 3D

Yes believe it or not, long before there was Avatar there was 3D film and it was the Third Reich that were ahead of the game in producing it, unspurprising, as Germany invented colour film as well, among other cinematic innovations in the 1930s. For the full story click here.
